GREAT LOOKING 10" BROOK TROUT
WITH OLD, INSET COINS!

$95.00
David Perkins fish decoys are included in the collection of the Museum Of
American Folk Art in New York City and are in great demand by collectors. This
David Perkins Brook Trout measures 10" long. It has deeply carved gills which
are outlined with brass tacks, a cut out mouth and inset glass eyes. This decoy
also has an old, Buffalo Nickle inset into one side of the head and an old Indian
Head Penny set into the other. Mr.Perkins generally sets old coins into the better,
more expensive decoys and this feature gives them added collector appeal and
value. The decoy is beautifully hand painted in a very folky yet realistic style. It is
in excellent and unfished condition and is signed DFD (Duluth Fish Decoys) in the
belly weight.
