David Perkins is a a well known fish decoy carver from Northern Minnesota. His
decoys are included in reference books on noted decoy carvers including a newly
released book which is specifically about Perkins decoys. Mr. perkins has
a wonderful eye for creating fish decoys with truly unique designs. This swimming,
underwater Loon fish spearing decoy measures 9 1/4" long and has red glass
eyes. It is hand carved and hand painted. The condition is beautiful and
unfished. Mr. Perkins gives each of his decoys a special finish which simulates
age and use. It is signed by the maker with his DFD (Duluth Fish Decoy) mark
which is stamped into the belly weight. This decoy has excellent visual appeal.
