Ron Jacobson is an old time fish decoy carver from minnesota. His fish decoys
are included in the book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT, are
beautifully made and very collectible. Jacobson decoys in the form of critters are
some of his coolest. This great looking 5 1/4" frog is really a fantastic piece
of folk art. It has delicately carved rear legs and the front feet are made from
heavy wire. It is all hand carved and hand painted in a combnination of orange,
black, yellow and gray. The maker has signed the decoy on the belly RJ and
dated it 2008. The condition is excellent and unfished. I beieve Ron Jacobson
makes the coolest frog decoy in its price range.
