David Perkins fish decoys are long established in Folk Art Fish Decoy carving
history. They are included in collector's reference books on noted fish decoy
carvers as well as various limited edition prints. This outstanding Perkins Sturgeon
measures 9 3/4" long. It has inset glass eyes, deeply carved gills and wire
whiskers. The decoy is signed DFD (Duluth Fish Decoy) in the belly weight. Mr
Perkins gives each of his decoys a special patina which simulates age and use.
this decoy has the old style, bumpy finish which is very difficult to find. It has been
completely hand carved and hand painted in a wonderful Sturgeon form. The
condition is excellent and unfished with light wear. Please check the reference
