This great looking bass was made by Tim Spreck. Tim Spreck decoys are
featured in the reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT and
have also been featured in various articles, prints and on television. They are
brightly colored and abstractly painted. Each is a unique work of art and no
patterns are ever used. This example measures 8 1/4" long and
has carved gills as well as a cut out mouth. It is abstractly painted with this
carver's flowing "dot in dot" paint technique. The colors are red, black, white
and yellow. it is signed and dated 2005 on the bottom. The eyes are
painted, domed tacks.
