Carl Christiansen is a well known fish decoy carver from Michigan. His decoys are
highly collectible and well documented in collectors reference books. This wooden
vase or pencil holder measures 6 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" in diameter across the base.
It is lathe turned and has three relief carved fish on the outside. Included are
carvings of a Pumpkinseed, Bluegill and Rockbass. The carving is outstanding in
every way and the detail painting exceptional. Each fish is accented with a glass
eye. The condition is excellent overall with vibrant colors and outstanding visual
appeal. This item is signed by the carver along the bottom edge.
