Gordon Swenarton is a very talented fish decoy carver and folk artist from New
Jersey. His decoys have excellent, eye appeal and exhibit great elements of
folk art and whimsey. This Great looking, large Pike measures 12" long. It has
carved gills and tack eyes. The decoy is painted with a great looking, spotted
motif in a combination of blue and cream with red accents. It also has a hand
made, jointed tail which allows it to move freely. Having a jointed tail adds a nice
element of visual appeal as well as added historical interest to this great looking
fish. As with all of his decoys, Mr. Swenarton has given this decoy a special patina
that simulates great age. It is signed on the belly and dated 2010.
