Larry Ackerman is a well known fish decoy carver from Virginia with an excellent
collector following. Ackerman decoys are featured in the reference book THE
FISH DECOY, Volume 3 (available in the reference book section of this catalog)
and are prized for their high quality and excellent craftsmanship. He makes very
few decoys per year. This 8" Bass has glass eyes, fully carved mouth and gill
features and beautifully patinated copper fins. It is excellent and unfished with lots
of attention to detail. It is completely hand made and hand painted. The maker has
signed the belly with his LA mark.
