Ross Allen Sr. (deceased) is one of the best known, old time carvers from the Lac
Du Flambeau Reservation in Northern Wisconsin. His decoys are increasingly
difficult to find and highly collectible. This 7" musky is in excellent, original
condition. It has a carved mouth and inset bead eyes. The gills, tail fin rays and
markings on the body are wetailed with an old Native American woodburning
technique that is almost a signature of this carver.
