GORDON SWENARTON PERCH (CLICK HERE)

Gordon Swenarton is a contemporary fish decoy carver from New Jersey. His
decoys are not commonly offered for sale and are especially folky. This great
looking, 5" Perch has carved gills, carved bars along the body and carved tail fin
rays. The colors are pea green, orange and red. The eyes are small brass beads
which are held on place with a small nail. The condition is beautiful, original and
unfished. As with all of his decoys, the maker has given this great little Perch
a special patina that simulates age and wear. The decoy is signed by the maker
and dated 2008 on the belly.
