Gordon Swenatron is an obscure fish decoy carver and folk artist from New Jersey.
His decoys are seldom seen and make great collectibles and decorator items.
This great looking Swenarton Sunfish measures 5" long and is painted in
wonderful, muted shades of green, black and orange with blue and red accents.
The gills and mouth are nicely carved for added visual appeal and the decoy is
beautifully made and proportioned. The condition is original and unfished with a
very nice patina that simulates age and light wear. Mr. Swenarton is the only
known fish decoy carver currently working in New Jersey.
