GORDON SWENARTON PIKE (CLICK HERE)

Gorgon Swenarton is a rather obscure carver from New Jersey. His decoys have a
wonderful, old time look and feel. They are great collectibles and even better
decorator items. This 11 3/4" Northern Pike is painted in a beautiful pea green
with creamy white accents. The gills and mouth are nicely carved and the decoy
has excellent personality. The condition is beautiful and original. This decoy also
has a hand made joint that allows the tail to move and would add a nice action if
used for spearing. Mr. Swenarton gives each of his decoys a special patina that
simulated age and wear. The maker has signed the decoy on the belly and dated it
2008.
