Here is a fairly rare work by master carver Jim Nelson. It is a 8"Sucker with a very
pronounced Hognose head shape. lt has deeply carved gills and carved eyes and
is painted in a nice color combination with hand drawn scales. This great decoy
is in excellent and unfished condition with no problems.
The carver has signed the decoy on the belly. The signature is very faded and
barely visible. The estimated age is mid to late 1990s.
