Jim Nelson commonly regarded as the premier, folk art fish decoy carver currently
working in Michigan. His fish decoys are highly regarded for their unique, folky
appeal. This wonderful, 7 1/4" Jim Nelson Golden Trout is a fairly unusual species
for this carver to make. It has carved gills and mouth as well as carved tail fin
rays. It is in excellent and unfished condition. The decoy is signed by the
carver and dated 1999.
