OSCAR PETERSON TROUT 1940 (CLICK HERE)

Oscar Peterson fish decoys are extremely difficult to come by and highly
collectible. They represent the Cadillac school of carving which still
survives today. This outstanding 9" PetersonBrook Trout has carved gills and a
carved mouth. The eyes are painted tacks. Each gill carving as well as the mouth
is accent painted in red. The condition is exceptionally nice and original with very
light wear. The paint is beautifully patinated to a soft, golden hue and the decoy
could not be any more beautiful. As with most Peterson decoys, there is paint
loss to the belly weights and light paint loss to the edges of the fins. Oscar
Peterson fish in the 9" size are very tough to come by. The age is estimated to be
1940 or possibly a few years earlier.
