RICHARD NELSON PATRIOTIC (CLICK HERE)

Richard Nelson is an obscure, old time fish decoy carver from Minnesota. Very
little is known about him other than he did most of his carving in the 1980s and
early 90s. Nelson decoys are seldom seen and are well made examples of
traditional Minnesota folk art fish decoys. This patriotic pike measures 8 3/4" long
and has carved gills as well as carved mouth features. It is completely hand made
and hand painted. It also bears the maker's burned in RN mark on the belly. It is
very bright and visually appealing. The condition is beautiful, original and unfished
with very light wear from age.
