Mike Allsup fish decoys are featured in the reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS
PAST AND PRESENT. They are not commonly offered for sale and his earlier
decoys like this bass are especially collectible. Mr. Allsup passed away several
years ago. This decoy measures 7 1/2" long and is painted in green, blue, red and
turquoise. It is hand made and hand painted with a nice form. The condition is
in beautiful, original and unfished with light wear from storage. The carver
has signed the decoy on the bottom with his red feather mark. The age just about
15 years.
