DAVID PERKINS MUSKY (CLICK HERE)

This large and difficult to find Musky was made by legendary Minnesota carver
David Perkins. It measures a 15 1/2" long and has a wonderful presence. The gills
and mouth features are fully carved and the gill plates are also lined with three
brass tacks on each side of the head. The eyes are glass and the decoy has the
old style, textured finish which this carver no longer uses. It also has an interior
rattler. Old timers believed that if decoys made noise when jigged, it would create
added interest for nearby Pike. Mr. Perkins makes very few decoys with rattlers
and they are especially collectible. The condition is beautiful, original and unfished
with the maker's special patina which simulates age.
