Fish decoys by old time Minnesota carver Lawrence Bethel (deceased) are really
taking off in collectibility and value as the scope and range of his works are
discovered and appreciated. This unusual and rare BETHEL'S DECOYS
advertisingfish is a nice large example at over 10" long. It is a working, weighted
decoy with fully carved gills and a nice, open mouth. The eyes are glass and the
quality is top shelf. Mr. Bethel made a few of these around the year 2000 and
most were snapped up by collectors. Very few have ever been offered to the
market. The condition is excellent and unfished with outstanding eye appeal and
historical interest.
