David Perkins fish decoys are well known and highly collectible. They are
included in reference books on noted fish decoy carvers and are in great demand.
This folky David Perkins Turtle is painted in the Patriotic, red, white and blue color
combination and measures 6 1/2" long. It has wonderfully carved features
including the shell outline and mouth. This hard to find Turtle is a classic example
of one of David's most popular Critter decoys in one of his most popular paint
patterns. It is hand carved, hand painted, has tons of folk art visual appeal. The
condition is excellent and unfished with light wear from storage. Mr Perkins gives
each of his decoys a special patina which simulates age and use. It is signed DFD
(Duluth Fish Decoy) in the belly weight by the carver. Please check the reference
