DAVID PERKINS MALLARD HEN (CLICK HERE)

David Perkins fish decoys are well known and highly collectible. They are included
in reference books on noted fish decoy carvers as well as being included in the
collection of the American Folk Art Museum in new York. This wonderfully folky
underwater, swimming Mallard Hen is a working spearing decoy and measures 9"
long. It has glass eyes as well as carved wing and leg details. Each leg is fitted
with a metal spinner at the end to enhance the decoy's fish attracting properties.
The decoy is hand carved and hand painted in a typically folky Perkins pattern.
The condition is excellent and unfished and the decoy is signed DFD (Duluth Fish
Decoy) in the belly weight. As with all of his decoys, Mr. Perkins has given this
outstanding Mallard a special patina that simulates age and use. Please check
