Fish Decoys by old time Minnesota Master carver David Perkins are included in
reference books on notable decoy carvers as well as being included in the
collections of the Museum Of American Folk Art. This great looking Perkins
Black crow measures 8 3/4" long. It is a very tough decoy to come by and
very few have been made. It has carved wing and bill features as well as carved
legs. Each leg is fitted with a metal spinner at the end which would improve this
decoy's fish attracting properties. It is hand made and hand painted with inset
glass eyes. The decoy is in excellent and unfished condition with very light wear
and is signed DFD (Duluth Fish Decoys) in the belly weight. The new reference
book called DULUTH FISH DECOYS is now avaiable in the Reference Book
section of this website. it is an invaluable resource for anyone whio is interested in
