Fish Decoys by old time Minnesota Master carver David Perkins are included in
reference books on notable decoy carvers as well as being part of the collection
of the Museum Of American Folk Art. This great looking Perkins Bass has a very
folky, fat body form and measures 16" long. It has fully carved gills which are
outlined with domed brass tacks, and a carved mouth. The decoy also has inset
glass eyes. Mr Perkins gives each of his decoys a special patina which simulates
age and use. The finish is warm and the colors subtle. It is in beautiful and
unfished condition with great displayability. The decoy is signed DFD (Duluth Fish
