David Perkins is a a well known fish decoy carver from Northern Minnesota. His
decoys are included in reference books on noted decoy carvers and are in great
demand. This large, slopenose, Northern Pike measures 16" long and has glass
eyes as well as deeply carved gills. There is an old Buffaly nickle set into each
side of the fish as is this carver's custom. This decoy also has a hand carved joint
in the tail which alows it to move when used. It is hand carved and hand painted in
a wonderfully folky pike pattern. The condition is excellent and unfished and it is
signed DFD (Duluth Fish Decoy) by the maker on the belly. Mr Perkins gives each
of his decoys a special finish which simulates age and use. They are highly
