MEL ASSERUDE MOUSE (CLICK HERE)

Mel Asserude is a very obscure fish decoy carver from Northern Minnesota. His
work is well documented in reference books like FOLK ART FISH DECOYS
(available in the reference book section of this catalog). Mr. Aaserude only carves
for his personal use and each is a unique, high quality work of art. They are
extremely difficult to come by and collector interest is very high. This highly
detailed Mouse measures 4" long not including the leather tail. It has carved facial
features and the body is completely woodburner detailed to resemble fur. The
decoy is signed with the carver's woodburned initials on the belly and would date to
about 2000. It is in excellent, lightly fished condition with outstanding viaual
appeal.
