Mike Allsup fish decoys are included in the reference book FISH DECOY
MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT (available in the reference book section of this
website). They have become increasingly collectible and difficult to come by
since Mr. Allsup passed away several years ago. This rare Killer Whale is
extremely rare and quite possibly the only one made in this size. It measures 6
1/4" long and 3" tall. The exagerated dorsal fin adds excellent visual appeal and
the decoy has a wonderfully folky look. This decoy has an excellent, Native
American inspired paint job. The condition is excellent and unfished with some
minor paint loss on the metal fins. The carver has signed this decoy with his
red feather mark on the belly.
