Hans Hanson is a relatively unknown fish decoy carver from Pelican Rapids, MN.
He was born in 1898. This outstanding Hanson Minnow measures 4 1/4" long. It is
painted black and burgandy with silver in the middle. The fins are green. The
accent painting in gold really gives this decoy outstanding folk art appeal. The
condition is fantastic considering its age. The decoy is all original with excellent
patina. Minnows with this many colors and this kind of detail are especially rare
and very collectible.
